Dr. Trisha Chakraborty is the visionary founder of Step Ahead Wellness Clinic, a leading center dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of children with special needs. With a passion for helping children reach their full potential, Dr. Chakraborty has spent over a decade honing her expertise in occupational therapy and working tirelessly to improve the lives of those with developmental disabilities. Dr. Chakraborty holds a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from the National Institute for the Orthopaedically Handicapped (NIOH), where she graduated as a gold medalist. She furthered her academic journey by obtaining a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with a specialization in Paediatrics. Her professional career began at an early stage when she started working with children with autism, an experience that fueled her commitment to the field. After gaining valuable hands-on experience, Dr. Chakraborty joined the government service in the rural areas of Bihar, where she spent over seven years working closely with children with disabilities. During her tenure, she made significant contributions to the rehabilitation of children with various physical and cognitive challenges, helping them develop skills for independence and improving their quality of life. In 2021, armed with the experience and insights gained from her years of service, Dr. Chakraborty took the bold step of founding Step Ahead Wellness Clinic. The clinic was born out of Dr. Chakraborty's vision to create a comprehensive, inclusive environment where children with special needs can receive the holistic care and support they require. Step Ahead provides therapies under one roof, with a special focus on Sensory Integration Therapy, a method Dr. Chakraborty has developed deep expertise in over the years.
